Rehearsal for an imposible body

Rehearsal for an Impossible Body is a stage-based research project (a work not yet premiered) that combines dance, sculptural body work, narration, and music to reflect on the pressure of aesthetic standards and contemporary ways of inhabiting the body.

Through a process of symbolic fragmentation and reconstruction— inspired by the myth of Isis and Osiris —the piece proposes a hybrid, diverse, and functional body, constructed beyond normative frameworks.

A sensitive and critical proposal that places the body as a space of resistance, transformation, and life.

Anna Altés // Alaya Wolf

Dancer, performing artist, and cultural manager. Anna Altés develops a transdisciplinary practice that connects body, territory, and critical thought. Her work explores the body as a space of memory, transformation, and resistance, from a situated ecofeminist perspective. She initiates projects that combine artistic creation, research, and collective processes.

Ona Ortiz Jové

Body sculptor and performer. Ona Ortiz Jové develops an artistic practice rooted in bodily research, diversity, and critical thought. In 2019, she created Gencosmic, an artistic and pedagogical project born from a process of personal reconstruction following genital mutilation experienced in childhood. Through the creation of body casts, participatory workshops, and exhibitions, her work makes diversity visible from a critical and empowering perspective.

Leticia Chamorro

Writer and playwright who explores identity, the body, and freedom through a sensitive and artistic lens. Her work moves between intimate narrative and contemporary reflection, with the aim of giving voice to experiences often absent from dominant narratives. She is the author of Vaginas libres and the novel What if? (2026).

Música: Kristen Meyers / Kreatress

Artistically known as Kreatress, she is a musician, artist, and ritualist based in Mexico. With a classical background in voice and an international trajectory, she creates immersive performative pieces that integrate voice, body, sound, and ritual.

Bodies in Ritual

A performative research project with vocal artist Kreatress, to be developed during an artistic residency at Casa Snowapple (Mexico, March 2026). It explores the interconnection between voice, body, and the menstrual cycle as sources of knowledge, transformation, and collective empowerment. Through movement and voice laboratories, the project reinterprets ancestral and embodied knowledge, reclaiming menstruation as a source of creativity and ritual. It culminates in a site-specific performance and audiovisual documentation, with plans for international presentations in Mexico, Barcelona, and Berlin.

Body-Earth

A transdisciplinary artistic research project that explores the relationship between body, food, land, and nature from an ecofeminist, regenerative, and community-based perspective. Through laboratories, workshops, and gatherings within the regenerative community La Matriu de Can Pau, the project connects the female body with the land, integrating natural and bodily cycles as sources of knowledge and creation, and making visible how art can nourish both the body and the social and natural ecosystem.

Creative encounters · Art Constellations

Creative Encounters is a project that fosters transdisciplinary artistic exploration through intimate encounters between creators from different parts of the world who have never met or worked together before. Each encounter gives rise to a unique and ephemeral constellation, where bodies, ideas, and sensibilities enter into dialogue to generate new forms of art and (co)creation. Like stars tracing a shared map, each artist contributes their light to reveal a collective narrative and a new creative universe.

Encounter I · Constellation of Fire and Water

This first encounter between dancer and performer Alaya Wolf and visual artist Marty Matthys emerged from an intense 24-hour creative experience. Through improvisation, the body became canvas and movement became trace, giving rise to living pieces of painting and movement where emotions enter into dialogue. An open process that continues to unfold beyond the time shared.

Encounter II · Body·Voice Witch Constellation

An intuitive encounter between Alaya Wolf (body) and Kreatress (voice), two artists who met for the first time during a residency in Mexico City and chose to enter into a creative dialogue without prior rehearsal. On the stage of Jazzatlán, their first performance took shape as an improvised ritual between dance and voice: the body as a channel of memory and the voice as invocation.

During a week of shared exploration, both artists wove a common language where the intuitive and the ancestral emerged as creative forces, giving rise to a performance that inhabits the territory between concert, trance, and staged act.

L’A(B) Experimental is a sensory laboratory where electronic music, visual, plastic, and performing arts, performance, and author-driven gastronomy intertwine within a single space. This experimental environment fosters encounters between local and international artists, generating unique experiences that awaken the senses and celebrate artistic experimentation without limits.

An event created within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, where women creators explore the body, self-knowledge, and the realities of gender-based violence through art. The program included exhibitions of body and genital sculptures by GenCosmic, concerts, a visual performance, a collective dialogue, and a feminist live set. The sound technology MoonAI was also presented—an app designed to relieve menstrual pain.

An art exhibition curated by women to celebrate female presence and artistic creation. The works come from different visual art disciplines and, through this transdisciplinary approach, transform the intimate into the collective and the personal into the universal, creating a space for encounter, expression, and recognition of women’s creative power in art.
